2014 was a tough year as a competitor, however it was my most successful year as a runner. I struggled with fatigue and mono early in the summer which definitely hindered some of my running plans. I also struggled getting used to a "competitive runners" lifestyle. Increased mileage as well as living with the altitude of Leadville was just leaving me run down and essentially lost. I under performed early and felt so tired some days I didn't want to walk to work. I asked Sage and Sandi for some advice and they were more than amazing on getting me back on track. Great friends and coaches!
2014 brought me 2 wins (1 more than 2013) and I am working hard to take my running to an even higher level in 2015. I have learned a lot to say the least, and am so excited to welcome in 2015. A few changes for me personally are in store for 2015:
-I moved to Breckenridge, Colorado from Leadville.
-I took a position managing Vertical Runner Breckenridge.
-I am a proud member/captain of Team Vertical Runner Elite Mountain Team.
-My focus will be pure mountain running with hopes of making the US Mountain Running Team.
-I am hosting a RUNNING CAMP in Breckenridge, check out Vertical Runner to get the details.
